that's a long long time ago now it's going to take some work to find a way to get the right setup to get to that if your camera isn't updated to that level as yet. The last firmware revision for the E-1 was version 1.5 of November 2007.

Otherwise, I'd send a note to Olympus Service and see if they have a current solution to updating the E-1 firmware. you'll need a Mac running a version of OS X old enough to have a PowerPC emulator (at least) and this application.
#Olympus camera drivers sp 600uz update#
The last software I had that would update an E-1's firmware on a Mac is Viewer 1.52 (the copy I have has a created date of June 12, 2007, on the DMG file).
#Olympus camera drivers sp 600uz upgrade#
What gives? What a clumsy and cumbersome way to upgrade firmware!

Software won't connect with those cameras either. Tried connecting my E-5 and E-510 as well. Neither programs will connect with my E-1. I'm wanting to upgrade the firmware in my E-1, so I installed Oly Viewer and the old "Studio" (a trial version).
